AC Wollaton Charity Celebrates £100,000 Milestone with Local Newspaper Feature

We’re incredibly proud to announce that AC Wollaton Charity has officially surpassed £100,000 raised for good causes, a milestone that has recently been celebrated in a local newspaper feature!

Since our journey began in 2016, we’ve grown from a small group of 11 footballers into a thriving community of more than 200 players, all united by one goal: making a real difference to the lives of those who need it most.

Our story began when founder Roberto Pietraforte organised a charity football match to support Tilly Sawford, a young girl who needed a prosthetic limb following a serious accident. The success of that first match sparked something much bigger, and AC Wollaton Charity was born.

Over the years, we’ve supported numerous incredible causes, with a particular focus on children with life-limiting conditions and their families. These include Nottingham Children’s Hospital, Rainbows, Footprints and PASIC, alongside many other deserving organisations.

But our work extends far beyond football. From delivering Christmas presents and Easter eggs through our superhero team to creating unforgettable experiences for children and families, our amazing volunteers, affectionately known as our Angels, continue to spread happiness wherever they go.

A Huge Thank You to Everyone Involved

Reaching £100,000 would never have been possible without the incredible generosity of our players, volunteers, supporters, sponsors and the wider local community.

Every match played, every donation received and every hour volunteered has helped us reach this remarkable milestone.

We’re delighted to see our achievements recognised in the local press, and we’re even more excited about what the future holds.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. Here’s to the next £100,000 and continuing to make a difference, one match at a time!
