Another blockbuster of a night as 8 goals were shared between the Angels and Castle in a thoroughly entertaining 4-4 draw. They say that hard work pays off and Castle certainly worked their socks off, in a highly competitive game. Castle were a credit to themselves and the league they represent, they fought tooth and nail for every ball and needless to say never gave up even when they were 2 goals behind. More importantly the charity pot swelled by a whooping £691 of which Castle contributed £150. This also includes sponsorship for this game.
The Angels goals came from Pat Bakone, Tyrone Burton Ben Upton and John Manders.
Special mentions to 16 year goal keeper George Wood and debutant Keiran Lane who both picked up man of the match for the first and second periods of the game.
Pictured is AC’s John Manders congratulating debut boy Keiron Lane on receiving the Man Of The Match Award for the first period, Lane was energy personified. Playing in a back three he competed
for everything. The award was well deserved.
Next up is the vets at Radford FC who play west Bridgford vets on next Thursday 31st of March.
