A years preparation, playing each month, climaxed in 2 Internationals this year.
Our internationals games are a source of pride for all including our opponents. This year there’s two of them and today we played a representative side from the Republic of Ireland.
Again like always it’s an amazing experience for all. Our Irish opponents were class throughout. Raising funds for our three charities
Duchenne Uk, When You Wish Upon A Star and Rainbows hospice.
On the pitch both sides gave it their all, with the Angels scoring early doors only for Ireland to reply almost immediately.
However the Angels came through the encounter with a victory, but in truth it’s charity that’s the true winner.
Goals from Scott Litchfield 3- Luke Burrell 3- Kieran Wells 3 – Tremere Jack Lindo 2 – Anthony Shannon 1 and Tyrone Burton 2 ensured the Angel’s came away from Pride Park with the win.
We wish to thank our physio Eve Littler and the medical staff at Derby County for their professional help and care after one of our Angels suffered some sort of a seizure during the interval. Thankfully he’s ok now.
The response to our plead for donations has been nothing short of amazing we’ve hit 8k and hope to now push beyond that.
Next up for the Angels is the NSL representative side on the 4th of June and then it’s the guys up North Scotland in what is going be to a mouthwatering encounter.
